Founded in 1865 with the most noble varieties, today it has 180 hectares (467 acres) of which 116 (288) are planted with 10 to 60 year old vines of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, along with Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
The alluvial soils of Intriga – formed by millenary stones brought by the Maipo River from the Andes – give it a special seal that permits making the best wine this area can give. They are of very low vigour and yields, providing grapes of very high concentration for the production of a powerful Cabernet Sauvignon, full of character.
Intriga, in Maipo Alto – at the feet of the Andes Range - provides unparalleled conditions to obtain world-class wines. Here is where our specialty brand for ultra premium Cabernet Sauvignon is born, taking this classic variety to its maximum expression.
